Trekker's Recovery Massage — Pokhara
Built for the day the jeep drops you back in Lakeside from Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Himal, Ghorepani–Poon Hill or the Circuit. Quads and calves that have absorbed 40,000 descending steps get deep, slow work; the IT band, plantar fascia and shoulders that carried the pack get released; and a warm herbal poultice draws the ache out of swollen knees and ankles.

Step by step
What happens during Trekker's Recovery Massage
No surprises. This is the exact sequence, in order.
Step 01
Quick assessment
Which route, and did you soak at Jhinu Danda on the way down? A body that has already had an hour in the hot springs needs less warming and more structural work.
Step 02
Deep leg sequence
Slow, sustained pressure through quads, hamstrings, calves and feet with mahanarayan oil.
Step 03
Kizhi poultice
Heated herbal bundles are pressed into knees, ankles and lower back to reduce inflammation.
Step 04
Upper body release
Trapezius, rhomboids and neck — the pack-carrying muscles nobody thinks to stretch.
Oils we use
Mahanarayan and Dhanwantharam taila — the classical Ayurvedic oils for joints and muscle strain.
Aftercare
Hydrate heavily, walk gently for ten minutes, and avoid a cold shower for two hours. If you trekked more than ten days, book a second session — and keep it at least 24 hours clear of the tourist bus to Kathmandu.

Questions
Trekker's Recovery Massage — what people ask
Where can I get a massage after Annapurna Base Camp?
In Lakeside, two minutes from the lake shore on Barahi Path — walking distance from wherever the Nayapul or Siwai jeep drops you. Evening slots to 8pm, and we hold same-day appointments back for returning trekkers.
How soon after a trek should I get a massage?
Same day or the next day is ideal for circulation and swelling. If a joint is acutely hot and painful, tell us — that needs assessment, not deep pressure.
Do you have showers?
Yes — hot showers, towels and a changing room, which matters if you have come straight off the trail.
